Our recommended newer used Accord is the 2016 and 2017 models. Through the use of modern technology, the optional V6 engine from these model years not only has 278 horsepower, but it actually has a superior fuel economy rating to the four-cylinder from the older versions – no less than 33 MPG on the highway.[a] On top of that, the 2016 Accord is available with several modern driver-assist features like lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, HondaLink emergency SOS, lane keeping assist, and a rear back-up camera. 4. The Honda Ridgeline
Now, let’s talk trucks. Honda’s Ridgeline midsize truck is a one of a kind design that combines the best of trucks and SUVs. Like most newer models, these trucks come with driver-assist features such as blind spot monitoring, a collision mitigation system, rear cross traffic alert, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and low tire pressure warning. If you’re looking for an affordable midsize truck that’s capable of performing light-duty tasks while providing the comfort and handling of an SUV, a used Ridgeline is a great place to look.
3. The Honda Insight
Hybrid vehicles are great for the environment and easy on the fuel tank. Honda has always been great at producing innovative hybrid vehicles, and the 1999 Honda Insight was the very first hybrid available on the American market. Today, a used Insight remains a great choice, although we would suggest looking at the updated second-generation version from 2011 to 2014. This stylish liftback is rated for 41 MPG on the highway, and it can even fit over 31 cubic feet of cargo despite its small size.[a] The Insight is an extremely practical and affordable used Honda option.
The third-generation Honda Insight ramps things up in size and capability. Introduced in 2019, it is a larger, midsize sedan, and it is rated for up to 49 MPG on the highway and an incredible 55 MPG in the city.[a] It offers innovative driver-assist features such as lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and auto high-beam headlights. 2. The Honda Odyssey

This three-row midsize SUV comes in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2013 to 2015 models get 250 horses and are rated for up to 24 MPG on the highway, which is quite good for such a large vehicle.[a] The Pilot can even tow up to 4,500 pounds on top of its 87 cubic feet of cargo space, and it offers driver-assist features like hill start assist. Even though it’s older, the 2013 model comes with a standard 8-inch multi-information display and boasts standard tri-zone automatic climate control.
The redesigned 2016 to 2017 Pilot has 280 horsepower and is rated for up to 27 MPG. This version still seats up to eight passengers, but it can tow up to 5,000 pounds when optioned with all-wheel drive. As with the Honda Odyssey, the main perks of a newer used Pilot are the driver assist features and convenience add-ons.
