The 2015 CR-V
The 2015 CR-V, while maintaining the same sheet metal as the 2014 edition, introduces significant updates across various aspects. These enhancements aim to provide a more aggressive and upscale look, improved fuel efficiency, and advanced safety features.
Exterior and Interior Enhancements
The front and rear exterior styling of the 2015 CR-V has been upgraded to offer a more aggressive and upscale appearance. Inside, the interiors, especially on higher trims, have received numerous upgrades to create a more luxurious and upscale environment. The lower trim and carpeting in all interiors are now black, contributing to a rich, upscale appearance.
Engine and Performance
The 2015 CR-V adapts the Earth Dreams Technology™ 2.4-liter direct-injection engine and CVT from the Accord lineup, with additional enhancements for even greater fuel efficiency. Suspension tuning has been reworked for a more refined ride, improved handling, and greater stability.
Safety and Technology Features
All CR-V models now feature the next-generation ACE™ body structure for enhanced frontal crash protection. The CR-V Touring trim introduces Honda Sensing, an advanced suite of active driver-assistance technologies, including Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System™, Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Honda LaneWatch™.
Trim-Specific Features
The all-new CR-V Touring trim joins the lineup for customers seeking a higher level of luxury and capability. CR-V EX and above trims receive the 7-inch touch-screen Display Audio and HondaLink™ Next Generation, Smart Entry and push button start features, and LED Daytime Running Lights. EX-L and above models now feature an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, while the CR-V EX trim adds a 10-way power driver’s seat and heated front seats.
Additional Updates
Numerous measures have been taken to reduce road and wind noise for a quieter, more comfortable cabin. All CR-V trims now come with a redesigned center console with armrest, configurable beverage holders, rear-seat climate-control vents, and sliding sun visors. The CR-V Rear Entertainment System is no longer available.
Color Options and Warranty
Modern Steel Metallic replaces Polished Metal Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl replaces Twilight Blue Metallic, and an all-new color, Copper Sunset Pearl, is added to the color palette. Like all Honda models starting with 2015 vehicles, the CR-V now comes with complimentary 24-hour roadside assistance for the 3-year/36,000-mile new-vehicle limited warranty term.
