The Honda Accord is available as both a traditional sedan and a hybrid. The starting MSRP isn't all that different between the two, with the Accord sedan starting at $24,020 and the Accord hybrid starting at $25,620.* You'll save at the pump with the Honda hybrid, but the traditional sedan is far from a slouch. The Honda Accord comes in six trims, the LX, Hybrid, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Standard for the LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring trims, Honda has dropped in an I4 1.5L turbocharged engine under the hood. This engine can get up to 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. You're not going to find that kind of power in most other small engines used by the competition. With a maximum estimated fuel economy of 30 miles per gallon in the city at 38 miles per gallon, you're not going to find many sedans that give you both the horsepower and the fuel economy of the base Honda Accord.^[b]

With the Sport, EX-L, and Touring trims, you can upgrade to a 2.0L turbo I4. This comes with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic for the ultimate in smooth shifting. The 10-speed automatic transmission is only available on the Touring trim. With the sport 2.0L engine, you'll boost the potential horsepower to 252 and get up to 273 lb-ft of torque. With the 2.0L engine, the estimated fuel economy ratings can go to 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, with a combined rating of 26 mpg.^[b]

Perhaps you've been eyeballing that Accord hybrid model. If so, you've been doing so for good reason. The hybrid model uses a DoHC i-VTEC hybrid engine. This engine can get up to 212 horsepower. It also gives you a rather impressive boost in the estimated fuel economy, up to 48 miles per gallon in the city and 47 miles per gallon on the highway.** With this engine, you have great performance, but you'll also get great fuel efficiency.

Looking for entertainment in your Honda? Who isn't? Even if you're not someone who needs the latest mobile apps and streaming services, it is nice to have some listening options for those long commutes to work.

With the base trim, the LX, the model comes with AM/FM stereo, an AUX input for connecting your favorite external audio device via the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the system is MP3 compatible.

Starting with the Sport trim, Honda adds in smart device integration via Bluetooth. This way, you don't need to rely on a 3.5mm headphone jack or an adapter (because most phones don't have a headphone jack any longer). You can simply pair your phone, tablet, or another device to the stereo system via the wireless Bluetooth feature.

With the EX-L trim, you'll find a splurge of additional entertainment features. This includes HD radio, for superior audio playback, satellite radio (requires a subscription, but you'll receive a free trial with the purchase of a vehicle), plus a premium sound system as standard. After all, if you're listening to HD radio, you'll enjoy the premium sound system even more.

When you step up to the Touring trim, you'll find this is when it really gets exciting with the entertainment features. Not only does it come with all of the other upgrades found in the EX-L, but it also has a built-in navigation system and WiFi hotspot.^[c] With a WiFi hotspot, you can stream all your favorite apps, connect to the Internet when you need to finish that business presentation, or your kids can stream their favorite programs on their tablets.

When it comes to getting behind the wheel, nothing is more important than safety. After all, you never know what you might find out on the road. From deer running across the road to potholes and even inclement weather, the roads can sometimes be challenging to navigate, so having all the safety bells and whistles is a must.

With the Accord LX, the starting trim, it comes with four-wheel ABS and disc brakes, plus driver, front head, front side, rear head, and passenger airbags. On top of this, the base Accord features brake assist, daytime running lights, electronic stability control, child safety locks, lane-keeping assist, traction control, and lane departure warning.

Who doesn't want a more comfortable and convenient ride? With the Honda Accord, you get all kinds of beneficial features that are designed to improve the overall quality of your ride and further improve the safety of your vehicle. And while you do receive everything and the kitchen sink when opting for the Touring trim, the LX packs a hard punch.

When it comes to the Accord LX, there is not much you won't find in terms of standard technology and safety features. You'll also find features like keyless start and adaptive cruise control (these are features not typically found on base models).

If you've never used adaptive cruise control, this is a fantastic update on traditional cruise control. Chances are when you've used regular cruise control in the past, you've been forced to take yourself off of it, speed past traffic that is driving slow in the fast lane, or to flow with traffic moving around other vehicles. Well, with adaptive cruise control, your vehicle will do this for you. It'll automatically adjust the speed accordingly. It's just a little tweak, but on those long road trips, it makes all the difference.

Another impressive feature on the Honda Accord is automatic high-beam headlights. Using a sensor on the Accords grill, when you opt to you use your high beams when driving at night, these will watch for approaching vehicles. They will turn off and on as you continue to drive, keeping you from having to worry about switching them off and preventing them from being accidentally left on as you pass other drivers.

Other features on the base include auto-off headlights, keyless entry, and an adjustable steering wheel. You can also spring to include a rear parking aid, electrochromic rearview mirror, heated steering wheel, and a universal garage door opener (all optional features).

On the Touring package, a number of additional features come standard. This includes a head-up display, fog lamps, the universal garage door opener, and rear parking aid now come standard, rain-sensing wipers, leather steering wheel, and heated mirrors. Heated mirrors and rain-sensing wipers are features that make driving in snow, the cold, and the rain even easier than before. The head-up display is a remarkable feature that allows you to keep your eyes on the road instead of looking at your instrument panel to check your speed. One additional feature is the blind spot information system with cross-traffic monitor. This alert lets you know if there is a vehicle in your blind spot; this is especially helpful when you need to change lanes or while driving on the highway.
