2021 Honda Passport

The 2021 Honda Passport is a midsize SUV with roomy seating for five. It balances plentiful storage and intelligent design with rugged durability to deliver a vehicle perfect for both on-road cruising and back-road adventures. Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keep you connected while you drive, and a long list of standard safety features protects you at all times. When you need to drive in snowy weather, engage the standard snow mode on your 2021 Passport for the best performance on those slippery roads.

Standard features like LED headlights, keyless entry and ignition, and tri-zone climate control are just a few of the conveniences that will make life simpler. The new details on the exterior that enhance performance mean you have more power and capability, so you can go places a car can never handle. Your passengers will ride in comfort with legroom to accommodate even tall people in both front and back seats. Enjoy extras like a powered moonroof or the hands-free liftgate for the finer side of life, or add on the Urban or Adventure packages to build your 2021 Passport to suit the way you drive.

One Powerful Engine

Every 2021 Passport is equipped with a V6 engine that generates 280 horsepower with 262 lb-ft of torque and is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. With this powerful engine, the Passport can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly fitted with towing equipment and all-wheel drive. You will readily take on hills without trouble, and pulling out in traffic or pulling ahead on highways will be an easy affair. Because the Passport is fitted with 20-inch wheels and all-season tires as standard across all trims, you have a good ride height and capability to handle adverse driving conditions like snow or mud, especially with the available all-wheel drive.

Drive Management

Each Passport comes standard with snow mode to help handle powering through slippery or built-up snow on the roads, but when the all-wheel drive is added, you gain Intelligent Traction Management for muddy and sandy terrain. All-wheel drive also includes intelligent torque management, which anticipates where to send power in uneven or slippery terrain so your Passport keeps going even if some of your wheels can’t move. While you travel on back roads riddled with potholes or studded with rocks, the 2021 Passport keeps the cabin insulated from the bumpy landscape with its independent suspension. Each wheel responds to the dips and ridges independent of the others, keeping the Passport’s body from rocking so your passengers won’t be jostled while you explore.

Convenience

Making Your Everyday Life Easier

When you drive a 2021 Passport in any trim, you get Honda’s attention to details and generous features that make your life more comfortable while you’re on the road. Whether you need to drive the kids to sports practice, run to the grocery store, or take long trips, the Passport is equipped with numerous thoughtful details that will make daily life a breeze. For the driver, conveniences like push-button start, smart entry, and programmable remote entry make getting your journey started easier with fewer steps to get on the road. The available Walk-Away Auto Lock and the hands-free powered liftgate can further ease your daily driving when your hands are full with bags or carrying little ones.

Standard tri-zone automatic climate control will mean every passenger is happy and comfortable with the climate suited to their needs. Thoughtful consideration to night drivers is given with available illuminated cup holders and steering wheel-mounted controls so you can keep your eyes on the road where they should be instead of hunting for the cruise control or cup holder while you drive. Available auto-dimming rearview mirrors prevent sudden bright lights from blinding you when they approach from behind, and the standard multi-angle rearview camera makes backing up safer with more visibility.

Available heated and ventilated front seats further your comfort on cold or hot days, and even the rear seats can come heated in upper trims. Enjoy the ease of cleaning up after long days in the Passport when you have the available leather seats, which can also come perforated in the Elite trim. Driver’s seat memory with powered lumbar support is also available in all but the entry-level trim, but the tilting and telescoping steering wheel and adjustable seats are standard to accommodate drivers of virtually any size or height.

Cargo Space

Honda took into consideration the need for large amounts of space for cargo and then added organized places for cargo to be stored out of sight. The 2021 Passport has plenty of room for your stuff, with up to 50.5 cubic feet of room in the trunk area with the rear seats still in place. That’s as much as some compact SUVs have with their seats folded down. When you do fold down the seats for more cargo, you have up to 100.7 cubic feet of space so you can load everything you need for a long camping getaway or go garage sale hunting and fit just about anything you find in your Passport.

Stay organized in your Passport with bins and hidden storage to tuck away items you don’t want visible or may not use as often. In the rear trunk, the cargo floor lifts to reveal bins large enough for emergency supplies, tools, or to place your purse or wallet out of sight. Handy bins to each side of the cargo floor can hold small items you don’t want to roll or slide while you drive. In the front seat, a rollaway cover hides space in the center console that’s large enough for a tablet to be kept out of the way while it’s charging. Of course, map pockets behind the front seats, door pockets that hold water bottles, a sunglasses holder, and cup holders are all part of the organized interior of the 2021 Passport that makes traveling neat and tidy.

Honda Sensing

All 2021 Honda Passports come equipped with the Honda Sensing safety features, which are active driver-assistive technology built to prevent or mitigate accidents. Honda also includes numerous passive safety features like advanced airbags and engineering that are intuitively working behind the scenes to keep you and your passengers safe while you drive. The standard active features will add to your braking, steering, and throttle responses in case you don’t react quickly enough to avoid an impact.

For instance, the Collision Mitigation Braking System actively detects objects or vehicles ahead of you to send a warning signal that an impact is imminent. If you don’t stop in time, your Passport will apply the brakes to help you avoid hitting another car or object in the road. Long hours on the highway can be fatiguing, but the Lane Keeping Assist System subtly adjusts your steering to keep your Passport centered in your lane, so you don’t have to work as hard to steer. Add to that the Adaptive Cruise Control, which holds your speed even when other vehicles slow down and maintains a proper distance between other vehicles, and your long trips will be less tiring for the driver. Road Departure Mitigation keeps your Passport on the road with steering assistance if you happen to get distracted, whether you’re on the highway or a city street.

Other active safety features include electronic brake distribution and brake assist, which help make braking safer when you need to stop quickly. The Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control keeps your Passport stable when taking turns or driving on slippery terrain. For all but the entry-level trim, a Blind-Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Monitor will keep an eye out for vehicles that may be in the lanes behind you and will warn you to wait before you change lanes. All these safety features and more are always working for you in the 2021 Passport so you can trust that you and your passengers will be safer wherever you go.
